“Vein Connection”

By Carla Blake

In times as these

We’ve each have faced our own image of brokenness

We been disconnected from our inner core

Trying to heal ourselves with temporary satisfaction

Temporary; Is meant to last a short time

Try mending a crack with just grains of rice

Being fully healed requires time

But are you using that time in a conscious state of mind?

Or is it being wasted and controlled by those puppeteering your life?

Brokenness can sometimes feel like an eternity

If there is no one there to hear you “fall”,

Have you really fallen?

The mind is a complex tool

Beautifully designed and unique to each person

And if improperly used

Could be the end to one’s ability to reconnect with themselves

Our veins are smooth

And their depth seems infinite

They're delicate; the connections are complex and crafted uniquely

Molded by the potter and shaped to become something beautiful and intriguing

Underneath the different shades of skin

Many similarities lie, but each of us create our own path

On the roadmap that connects us all together

Can you keep going?

Can we keep going?

As a humanity we must keep pushing forward

Each pushing our inner wheels of grit, love and faith

Though touch and close communication

Seems a thing of our past

Let us remember that we are all connected

Our blood and veins create a vast connection that's unshakeable
